Saraam, a thriving chocolate brand based in Udaipur, has made a name for itself in just two years since its establishment in 2021, according to startuppedia. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Digvijay, at the age of 16, actively pursued his newfound passion for chocolate-making. With the support of his cousin Mahavir Singh, he embarked on this journey without a solid plan.

Through YouTube tutorials and countless experiments, Digvijay honed his skills and started sharing his homemade chocolates with his loved ones. Initially self-funded, his venture began as a hobby, but positive feedback encouraged him to develop a business plan. Inspired by a previous incident where chocolates were given as gifts, Digvijay decided to approach hotel owners and car showrooms to sell his creations.

In 2021, Digvijay stumbled upon an eye-opening article discussing the extinction of lesser-known indigenous fruits. Recognizing a gap in the market, where mainstream fruits dominated, he took a leap of faith to introduce these unique flavors. It was during this year that he launched his traditional chocolate brand, Saraam. Despite initial doubts, Digvijay aimed to preserve various fruit varieties and showcase them on a global scale. From starting with Indian berries to expanding to saffron, cardamom, wood apple, Indian gooseberry, jamun, kokum, and pink apple, his berry chocolates and white chocolates gained popularity among top retailers.

In the same year, Digvijay secured his first 1,000 orders from a car showroom, solidifying his position as a self-taught chocolate entrepreneur. The chocolate business has since achieved tremendous success, selling over two tons of chocolate to satisfied customers nationwide. Saraam’s popularity has spread to cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Udaipur, and Jaipur. According to The Better India, the brand has earned more than one crore rupees since its inception, with over two tons of chocolate sold.

Saraam sells its chocolates through its website, Instagram page, and select stores in Udaipur and Jaipur. The brand’s rapid growth and positive customer response have made it a rising star in the chocolate industry.
