In a heartwarming display of compassion, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has extended its rescue efforts to include stranded animals amidst the devastating floods in Noida. Among the remarkable rescues was a bull from the esteemed ‘Pritam’ bloodline, valued at a staggering Rs 1 crore. The NDRF’s 8th Battalion in Ghaziabad took to social media, sharing photos and videos of their heroic acts, including the successful evacuation of cattle and goats.

The floodwaters, caused by the overflowing Yamuna River, have wreaked havoc in Noida, leaving animals in distress. The NDRF teams swiftly came to their aid, showcasing their commitment to saving lives, both human and animal alike. One of the captivating videos released by the team captures the rescue of two buffaloes, secured by ring buoys, as they are carefully guided through the floodwaters by personnel in a boat.

According to the news agency PTI, the flood has submerged approximately 550 hectares of land along the Yamuna’s banks in Noida. As a result, over 5,000 people have been displaced, and eight villages have been significantly impacted by the calamity. Despite the challenging circumstances, the NDRF teams are working tirelessly to mitigate the effects of the floods and provide assistance to those in need.

The Yamuna’s water level, which has reached a 45-year high this year, currently stands at 207.68 meters, surpassing the danger mark by two meters. Although there has been a slight decrease in the water level, the situation remains critical. The NDRF’s swift and effective rescue operations not only save lives but also highlight their commitment to protecting the most vulnerable, including animals.
