Hindustan Zinc Dividend

Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta subsidiary, has announced an interim dividend of ₹7 per share for the financial year 2023-24. The dividend, which amounts to 350% of the face value of ₹2 per share, reflects the company’s commitment to reward its shareholders. The total dividend for the year stands at ₹46 per share. The record date for the dividend has been set as July 15, 2023. With a dividend yield of 14.60%, Hindustan Zinc’s returns surpass the interest rates offered by the Public Provident Fund (PPF) and bank fixed deposits.

This marks the third dividend announcement by Hindustan Zinc, following previous dividends of Rs 13 in January and Rs 26 in March. Hindustan Zinc witnessed a decline in net profit by 12% during the March quarter, amounting to ₹2,583 crores, while total sales decreased by 3% to reach ₹8,509 crores. Currently, Hindustan Zinc’s share price stands at ₹340.50, and Vedanta holds a significant 64.92% stake in the company.
